{Summer’s practically here and so is the JUNE JUMPING JACK CHALLENGE ♥
A lot of us are so busy during summer and we just don’t have that much time to work out. Doing jumping jacks every day takes AT MOST 20 minutes, is a good source of cardio to burn fat, and can easily be added to any other workout program! I can say from personal experience that doing jumping jacks every day helped kick-start my weight loss and gave my vertical a boost too. :)
Here are the rules:
1. Divide these up into sections of 50-100. Spread them throughout the day.
2. This won’t work if your diet is bad. Eat healthy, darlings.
3. Not enough of a workout for you? Add it to your regular fitness regiment.
4. PUSH YOURSELF. Don’t think you can do 500? Remember how much you want this and think again.
{This has gotten a lot more notes than I expected, and I’ve actually gotten some comments about this saying that it sounds almost pro-ana or unhealthy-thinspo-y. This is not how I meant it or want anyone to take it.
This is NOT saying that you should never be happy with your weight, your size, or yourself, because you SHOULD be happy. It’s saying that you should never be satisfied with being “good enough.” Can you do 10 pushups without breaking a sweat? Great, now reach for 20. Can you run 3 miles? That’s awesome, now aim for 4.
My message here is basically to never stop improving yourself. I can’t help the way anyone takes it, but I just wanted you to know that’s what I meant it to mean. :)
In a super-sized world, it’s very easy to get portion sizes distorted. Chances are, we also grew up with the notion that we must finish everything on our plates. That wouldn’t be a problem if we weren’t served Frisbee sized burgers, Mt. Spaghetti, and sky scraper ice cream cones. Though it’s a learning process, it’s easy to become accustomed to true serving sizes. Your hands are a great tool to grasp the idea of what you should be consuming. Oh, the wonders of the human body…

Anonymous asked: I'm drinking energydrinks/redbull one a day. Is this bad for my diet?
Skip them. The sugar in those are really high, not to mention the calories. Even if it’s a 0 calorie drink, it’s still got chemical substitutes, which are just as bad. You also don’t want to have to rely on caffeine to give you energy.
